Psychotherapy and Psychiatric Care
I provide psychotherapy, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and combined treatment for adults in my office in Menlo Park and via telehealth throughout California. My practice offers thoughtful, individualized care that integrates depth-oriented psychotherapy with contemporary psychiatric treatment.
Patients come to treatment with a wide range of needs and goals. Some seek psychotherapy focused on self-understanding, emotional growth, and lasting change. Others seek psychiatric consultation regarding diagnosis, treatment options, or medication management. Many benefit from an integrated approach that combines psychotherapy and psychiatric care over time.
When appropriate, treatment may also include attention to lifestyle factors such as sleep, physical activity, stress management, and mindfulness-based practices that support emotional well-being. The work is collaborative and tailored to each individual's circumstances, preferences, and goals.
Areas of Treatment
I work with adults seeking help with anxiety, depression, attention and concentration difficulties, stress and burnout, trauma-related experiences, relationship challenges, life transitions, and questions of identity, meaning, and direction.
I also provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment planning for individuals seeking diagnostic clarification, medication consultation, or ongoing psychiatric care.
Getting Started
I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to answer questions about the practice and determine whether working together may be a good fit. Prior to an initial appointment, patients complete brief intake forms that provide background information regarding current concerns, treatment history, medications, and relevant aspects of their personal and psychiatric history.
Treatment typically begins with a 90-minute initial evaluation that allows time for a careful assessment of symptoms, history, and treatment goals. Some patients seek ongoing psychiatric care or medication management, while others are interested in psychotherapy or a combined approach. Together, we develop a treatment plan tailored to your individual circumstances and goals.
Ongoing medication management visits are typically 25 minutes in length, with the frequency of follow-up determined by each patient's needs, medications, and stage of treatment.
Psychotherapy and combined-treatment sessions are 45 minutes in length and generally occur at least weekly in order to support continuity and depth in the therapeutic process. Some patients benefit from meeting more frequently. For many individuals, the initial consultation naturally becomes the beginning of ongoing psychotherapy. Over time, we continue to develop a deeper understanding of your history, patterns, relationships, and aspirations as the work unfolds.
Fees and Insurance
My practice is out-of-network with insurance. Patients pay directly for sessions, and I provide a superbill that may be submitted to insurance for possible reimbursement depending on your plan.
